The World Powerlifting Alliance (WPA) is an international powerlifting organization established to promote the development and global growth of the sport. The federation organizes numerous competitions worldwide, contributing to the continuous improvement of professional standards in powerlifting.
he organization was founded in the United States by Scott Taylor in 1987, originally operating under the name APA (American Powerlifting Association).
The Hungarian representative of the WPA is Szilárd Andrási.
